Starbucks Iced Mocha
JRN 202 Blog Post
I finally went to the new Starbucks on my college campus. I ordered my usual: Iced White Chocolate Mocha
It’s SO good!
Recently though, my friend Kevin and I decided we were in need of a change. We located the Starbucks Secret Menu online and copied down the concoctions we thought sounded the best. So far I’ve gotten the Chocolate Dalmatian (unfortunately all the java chips got stuck at the bottom of the drink) and the Crunch Berry Frappuccino (this literally tasted like someone took a bowl of Captain Crunch and put it in a blender!) He has ordered the Zebra Mocha and Nutella drink, which he assures me were delicious.
Tip: Know the ingredients for these secret drinks. Sometimes the baristas don’t even know about the Secret Menu!

Ladybug
At the apple orchard with my friends, we decided to have a fun photo shoot. I was about to climb up a tree when I saw this little one on the stump. I nearly stepped on it! After snapping this I continued climbing up the tree.

Comerica Park
Comerica Park after a game a few years ago… I don’t remember if they won or not, to be honest. I love the giant Tiger outside the stadium.

Window Grates
I really liked the shadows that these elegant window grates casted on the building façade.

Neuschwanstein Schloss
I’d been obsessing over this castle since middle school, when I drew it for one of my art projects in… seventh(?) grade. When I found out I’d actually be touring it, I was incredibly excited. It’s a beautiful castle. I’ll never forget the King’s bedroom. His bed with ornate wood carvings, the swans situated around the room, the rich curtain fabrics… Absolutely gorgeous. I’d go back, just to see the bedroom and the mosaic tiles of the throne room.
We weren’t allowed to take photos on the tour, but believe you me, if you ever see the buildings in this castle, you won’t ever forget them.

Nymphenburg Park
My tour group didn’t have time to explore the park and gardens at Nymphenburg Palace but if I ever get the chance to go back I’ll definitely walk through the place. The grand parterre, pictured above, is exactly that. Grand.

Hillside Homes
This was the view outside my friend Eric’s hotel room while we stayed in Switzerland. Separating what you see here in the photo and our hotel is the Sarnensee, or Lake Sarnen. I had a cute view myself, of the houses and the Alps behind us.
I had the best vegetable soup at this hotel and a delicious fruit drink. One night our German teacher, Frau P, bought beer for Maureen, Amber, and I. We had a fun time talking outside the hotel for a few minutes before dinner was served. I think I’ll stay at this hotel again if I go back.

Mt. Ranier from Port Townsend
I stole my aunt’s camera because she wasn’t taking pictures and I thought this deserved a snapshot. Two of my aunts, a cousin and I drove around the whole Olympic Peninsula a few summers ago. The main reason we did was because I was in a Twilight fangirl phase and wanted desperately to go to Forks, Washington. Forks ended up being my least favorite place we visited. Port Townsend was probably my favorite. It’s a cute little city!

Mariensäule auf dem Marienplatz
What a gorgeous statue. I would have liked the day more if it wasn’t so gloomy. It didn’t stop me from getting pictures!

Cappuccino of my Heart
In Innsbruck, Austria, three friends, two teachers and I stopped at little café while we waited for our group to meet in order to head back to the hotel. Everyone ordered coffee drinks except for me. This was before I started drinking coffee for enjoyment. Not to mention, I was far too concerned with saving my money for the rest of our trip. This is one moment in my life that I look back on and regret.
